World’s largest scuba diver organization aims to restore ocean health and support coastal communities globally, driven by local efforts In celebration of World Oceans Day on June 8, PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors®) today announced the creation of PADI AWARE Foundation. The non-profit public charity is dedicated to driving local action for global ocean conservation. The new PADI AWARE Foundation shares PADI’s mission to expand advocacy and achieve critical ocean conservation goals in the years ahead. On April 28, 2021, the Atlantis Sanya Resort in China completed the challenge of the Guinness World Records™ title of “The Largest Underwater Mermaid Show”. Sanya Atlantis joined together with PADI®, the world’s leading diver organization, and with the combined efforts of 110 PADI Mermaid Divers and safety officers recruited from all over China, they completed the unprecedented challenge. 110 PADI Mermaid Divers were invited to gather, bringing an unparalleled beauty to the world. 90% of the mermaid performers were PADI Mermaid Instructors, and dozens of PADI professional safety officers escorted the underwater performers. Sea-Doo manufacturer BRP Inc announced on Thursday that the company intends to electrify its entire Powersports product lineup – including Sea-Doo personal watercraft, Ski-Doo snowmobiles and Ryker three-wheel sportbikes – by the year 2026. What’s more, the first of these new electric models are expected to hit the market within the next two years. The Valcourt, Quebec-based company said it would invest $300 million toward achieving its electrification goal.
